I love this place for their Miso Salmon Fillet Linguine. But they dun serve it in the early morning. My next go-to, the lemon tart to settle me-self early morning mood. N a Single-egg Benedict with smoked Salmon $12.90, ABC Big Breakfast $17.50 and Egg and Avocado Open-Face $15.90 to share. Everything wiped out clean cos the bread itself is GOOD.

One of the chef’s recommendations on the menu that I’ve been eyeing and finally went ahead to try. This is basically atas fried rice that’s super delicious. The red rice is fried with pumpkin cubes, edamame, mushrooms, long beans and an egg, and you get to choose between roasted chicken or avocado to go with the carbs. I went with the roasted chicken breast, which wasn’t the most tender, but fortunately not dry nor tough to chew. I think it’s seasoned with mustard so the meat isn’t tasteless, and although it is just a teeny bit bland on its own, it goes well with the already-flavoured red rice. The portion of chicken given for $13 is substantial too - very value for money! I love the components in the red rice bowl - the red rice gives a lot more bite than regular white rice, plus it imparts a nutty flavour that’s so addictive. The edamame and long brand add some sweetness and a little crunch, whereas the sautéed mushrooms add an earthy flavour with some saltiness. The pumpkin cubes were harder than I’m used to, but they still worked in this case as they kept their form and didn’t disintegrate in the rice. Might’ve been even better if the pumpkin was softer, but overall I really enjoyed this fried red rice very much and have no complaints about my meal. Looks like I have to visit ABC more often to try more of their dishes and order this again!

Choice of how you’d like your eggs done on two pieces of toast with sautéed mushrooms, bacon, cherry tomatoes and half an avocado. We went for scrambled today and ABC makes pretty good scrambled eggs that are fluffy and a little moist! Toast is done well as it’s super crispy on the outside while soft and chewy inside. The bacon and sautéed mushrooms are on point too. Overall, this is a very satisfying All-Day Breakfast that you can even enjoy for dinner. It’s also not too expensive at $16. Would recommend and would order again!

For $5 extra, you can zhng your meal at ABC with a soup, salad or fries. Many of the mains don’t have leafy vegetables in them so the side salad’s a good choice of add-on. At $5, it’s quite steep for a romaine lettuce base with capsicums, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. Fortunately, there’s quite a good amount of feta cheese used which adds a refreshing saltiness to the salad. The vegetables are crisp and fresh, and there’s some dressing to round off the side. The dressing is a little like zesty Caesar and there’s a good amount that’s not stingy but also not overwhelming the salad leaves although personally I could’ve done without dressing thanks to the crumbled feta. Not bad for a meal add-on, just wish it were more affordable.

Serving up roasts from Toby’s Estate, the cappuccino at Artisan Boulangerie Co. has fruity and nutty notes, with a nice balance of milkiness and a dusting of cocoa powder to round things off. There’s also the option of soy milk here but non-dairy options are generally limited. You can, however, choose to add on some flavoured syrup if that’s your jam. While I wouldn’t visit ABC for their coffee, it’s worth picking up to go with their All Day Breakfasts or their sandwiches and pastries.

Good selection of all-day breakfasts available at Artisan Boulangerie Co. to satisfy all the breakfast and brunch lovers even at the end of the day. We were spoilt for choice and I was still deciding what to order as I walked to the cashier to order.

Big Breakfast (Front, $17):
Perhaps the most value-for-money dish since it comes with a little bit of everything for the indecisive. Eggs (scrambled or poached), sautéed mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, tomato relish, hashbrown, bacon and sourdough make some good variety, but the dish looks dull due to the lack of greens. Nonetheless, ABC’s big breakfast is quite good although it’s nothing outstanding. The sourdough here doesn’t actually even taste like sourdough as we couldn’t detect any tang to it at all. It was still nice to eat on its own, or with the tomato relish which had a strong zesty tang that was surprisingly addictive. The hashbrown here was also not too oily and actually crispy on the outside. Nice place to chill with a friend for a meal or coffee, but I wouldn’t make my way down purposely for this. Good thing they have many outlets islandwide I guess

Omelette (Back, $12 with 3 ingredients):
A three egg omelette which allows you the choice of three ingredients from their list of ingredients. In this case, I picked feta cheese, sautéed mushrooms, ham and added on baby spinach ($1.50). It’s also served with two slices of soft bread. Similar to the big breakfast, this dish looked very bland when it first came. Even the omelette looked white-washed when it was served. Hmm. Thankfully, the ingredients were anything but bland. I very much appreciated the option of feta cheese as it’s not that common in omelettes. Not sure what bread was served with this, but the two slices were fluffy and made a nice base for the omelette, and also nice on their own. There are other things on the menu I’d like to try, but the omelette is a safe choice and no doubt something I’d return to ordering sooner or later.

Overall ABC’s menu has a lot of interesting stuff to offer. Even if you’re not into the breakfast items, there’s salads, pastas, sandwiches and mains that look delectable. I’m sure I’ll be back for more!
