Artisan HQ (Petaling Jaya)

134 Wishlisted
~RM20/pax
As its name implies, Artisan Roast promotes the artisanship of producing high-quality coffee, and this is where the latest wave of coffee lovers are searching for the perfect fix. Baristas cringe at the mention of syrups or flavorings (also distinctively pointed out on their menu board), with the exception of a classic mocha that uses fineFrench Valrhona chocolate. You will find well-executed espresso drinks, alongside house coffees brewed in the likes of a Chemex. Don’t leave without trying their zesty lemon cake, and other selection of sweet treats too. *Multiple locations around KL, however, it’s recommended to visit their latest outlet in Section 13 which provides a more spacious and picturesque coffee platform OR head over to TTDI for consistent cups of coffee.

It’s spacious and has an industrial cozy vibe. Everything is pretty much self service here, from ordering to collection of food and drinks. Wifi is available but it disconnects sometimes unfortunately. The place is dimly lit so best time get some reading done would be daytime where there’s more lights coming in.

If you're looking to replace coffee, try the red latte. It's made from coffeemaker brewed rooibos tea which is naturally caffeine free and has an earthy flavour. Some say it even tastes like teh tarik if you add sugar.

The barista recommended a flat white as it's their signature drink. It wasn't a wow, but pretty swan in my cup. Rather stick with a cappuccino.

They have a small selection of cakes available. I was looking for something less sweet and the staff recommended the carrot cake. The texture and flavour was good, moist and generously filled with walnuts. However, the cream cheese frosting has a bit of a weird aftertaste.

Located in the light industrial area of Section 13 near to Glad Tidings. Spacious with high ceiling, red brick walls, wooden tables and chairs gave a charming, rustic feel.
Self service concept - Place your order from counter, and pick up at the end of the coffee bar, or if you're having food, wait till your number is called up.
In frame: Cappuccino (RM11.65). Coffee is served at drinking temperature so do let them know if you prefer your coffee hotter.
Although a bit dim as the windows were shaded partially, it is still a nice place to get some work/study done. They do provide free wifi as well.
