You might have guessed it by now that we are massive Indian food lovers and when @strictlydumpling discovered it in his food tour around Singapore, we knew we had to check out this place one day and so we did for an early Saturday evening dinner.

Ordered a few of the dishes that we are very familiar with such as the Gobi Manchurian, cauliflower florets battered and stir fried in a spicy sauce, Butter Chicken Masala, a classic North Indian dish of tender chicken pieces cooked in a rich tomato and cashew sauce, Chicken Biryani and Garlic Naan for filling up the tummies. Overall, a very decent Indian meal that was heavily spiced but just a tad too savoury. The menu is very extensive with lots of other dishes which makes it a very attractive place to come try again.

Chili ckn, slow burn that grows to be rather intense at the end of the meal. Thoughout the meal it's very bearable amount of heat, esp w water

DK if it makes sense but chili is the main flavour lol, but there's a lot of other layers, esp creaminess, so it's not too different from your normal butter ckn. First time trying this and it's not bad at all. Ckn was tender too

Just be careful of the various small spices inside the mixture

Rant:
Used to think Indian food was v expensive, but after having it it's now an addicted and I kinda grew used to it. Then my Indian friend told me today it's very overpriced. Now that I think about it, that's pretty true. The basic ingredients are v simple, basically spices and veggies, why are they being sold for 20++. A lot of the popular places brand themselves as restaurants and start charging high prices. My whole meal here costed 16.3. khansama charges 16.5 just for butter ckn, before gst and service charge. Are they really that much better? Flavour and portion all comparable. Unless people, including myself, become more educated about good Indian food, we would be blind leading the blind and going to the same few overpriced, decent spots when there are humble spots with better food and more reasonable prices

Naan comes w crispy, nice bread like texture but it will lose its crisp after a few minutes. If you can afford to, order one piece by one piece, and only when you're about to finish the previous piece to maximise satisfaction. It's rather mild but good enough.

First one to review this place, but recommended by a low-key tastemaker who doesn't want to expose her little gems lol

This was delicious. Always found sugees to be too dry in general, this one was a moist sugee basically, with the moistness coming from oil. With the nuts inside, damn it's good. Sweet, but not overwhelmingly so

Have to be honest, there was a piece of dried fruit inside with a chemical taste. Ew. Luckily they werent too generous with the dried fruits
