I am pretty much a fan of this An Sheng Seafood soup. Usually I will choose the bigger bowl that cost $8. I'm even thinking of upgrading my selection to the premium fishes.

The broth of this soup is really sweet. All the natural sweetness of the ingredients can be tasted through the soup. I especially like the strongly flavoured pork cubes in the soup. The fish meat as well as the prawns are also very generous. For Hawker food especially lunch, it's an awesome treat!

First time visiting this place even though I live relatively nearby. Soup was extremely tasty with umami (sorta a hybrid between a pork broth and a sweet seafood stock) - this is the first bowl of fish/seafood I've had that has the cloudiness of a BCM soup. Ingredients wise - meat chunks were fragrant, 2 prawns (one big and fresh, the other smaller and less fresh), and small fish slices (which I didn't really like as their textures were too soft). Chilli sauce was tasty and tangy too. Would come back when I have a soup craving!

Used to love A.S Seafood Soup but I think the standard has dropped over time. Nevertheless, the seafood soup is still yummy but I personally feel the $6/$8 portion (with no crayfish) would be sufficient to enjoy the taste of the sweet umami soup. My favorite parts were the soft fish slices and meaty balls anyway.

Decided to go for the most expensive bowl of crayfish seafood soup that comes with 1 crayfish, 3 tiger prawns, fish slices and minced meat balls. Not that it's bad but I find it unsatisfying having travelled to Bedok just for this. Not worth the special trip down but it's good to try if you're nearby 》$12

3 munchies: Known for its superior, bright-hued broth, the $12 portion featured here comes with crayfish, tiger prawns, and well-marinated minced meatballs that stole the show for me. Having travelled across the island for this, I was left rather unsatisfied with the mediocre soup that lacked sweetness. I wonder if it's even worth making a trip down to Woodlands for the original Yan Ji seafood soup anymore.

Pure broth made of crayfish & prawns, the essence of the seafood can be tasted down to the last drop of soup! Pair it with rice or have it on it's own, you'd be feeling warm & fuzzy inside & out.
Thanks to @juliuslim #TastyTastemakerTour, I got to try this bowl of goodness that he's been raving about!
