Otto’s Wall ($23) 1/10
The waiter said this was a savoury cocktail and he wasn't lying. One of the ingredients in this is simply... 'salt'. And that isn't a lychee in the drink -- it's a pearl onion. Combined with the white wine vinegar and french wheat vodka, a sip of this felt like getting hosed in the face with an unreliable hangover remedy. As for the drinking partner who ordered this, he said it was incredible.

Rose-Coloured Glasses ($26) 10/10
I asked for a sweet but strong drink and I got this japanese gin-based treasure with elderflower, greek vermouth, palo cortado sherry, and orange bitters. And oh boy did it deliver! The moment the cocktail arrived, the saccharine, grape-y scent of the muscat gummy practically pulled my lips to the rim of the glass. The taste of the drink itself was sugary and smooth with floral finishing notes -- a light stroll through the gardens of candyland while tipsy from muscato. I could go all day about how much I love this drink!

Despite much ado about its lighter notes, the cocktail was still strong enough to give me the sensation of having drunk 2 drinks after I was through with it. And I'm no lightweight.

I was also rather impressed with the steak, which was made from wagyu rump cap and drizzled with bone marrow butter and capers. I had asked for medium rare but I found that the meat could have been more rare. Nevertheless, the meat retained a good mouthfeel with a minimum amount of fat.

Everyone knows Atlas for its mesmerising art deco decor (I must have stared at the ceiling for at least a good 5 minutes) and creative gin cocktails, but the food could also hold its own.

I can't marvel enough about how exciting this dish is without the chef having taken too many liberties with his artistic license. The short rib was so tender I could pull it apart with a fork, and was loaded with flavour from its exterior. Also, I had no idea that the mash wasn't made of potatoes, but kohlrabi -- a kind of turnip. The consistently smooth mash went perfectly with the crispy fried kale and tangy mustard jus.

The cocktail: Art and Influence was sweet and smooth, such a delight!

The purple sweet potato chips went well with the drinks!

Impressive latte art! Iced mocha was not too sweet and had just the right mix of coffee and chocolate flavor.

Super chewy pumpkin gnocchi with very flavorful sauce! Sauce was slightly creamy and cheesy due to the parmesan cheese shavings. It was topped with some seeds and nuts which added a good crunch to the dish! There were also some vegetables in the dish which made the dish more delicious!
