Randomly ended up at Ayam Penyet President's new outlet at Northpoint for dinner and wasn't really impressed by the Ayam Bakar. Sure, the sweet sauce is thick and sticky while the chicken is decently tender, but serving this up within 5 mins after my order is made at the counter at a lukewarm temperature in a casual dining concept is certainly not something that is anywhere up my alley.

Taste-wise it was all right - tasty enough, but could be more rich and flavourful. The portion isn't very large, especially if you're ordering to share... but you can't really complain for the price.

We ordered kangkong belacan non-spicy (you can choose between spicy and non-spicy) so I guess it's like ordering kangkong belacan without belacan 😂 Oops! But it was fragrant, crunchy and served piping hot from the kitchen.

Quite a large fish with a lot of meat, worth it for the price! The fish was nicely grilled - the skin crisp and the meat flavourful. Just have to be careful because there are bones. But you can pick them out easily cuz they're quite large and visible! Yumyum.
