Azur at Crowne Plaza @cpchangiairport has introduced the Asian Food Adventure A-la-carte buffet available for lunch and dinner every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 2 October to 29 November 2020.

The buffet takes your taste buds on an exciting journey to discover the distinctive flavours of Asia with signature dishes at $38++ per adult.

Diners can get to enjoy unlimited servings of Asian inspired dishes, prepared à La Minute and served right to your table, all at a wallet-friendly price of $38++ per adult. With all the travel restrictions, our holiday plans are either cancelled or postponed but at the Asian Food Adventure, you can take flight and travel with your tastebuds as Executive Chef Alvin Leong has prepared a spread of dishes to bring you on a flavour journey around Asia. Upon entry, you will be ushered to a table and given a QR code for you to scan and order your food via a mobile website, in lieu of the safe distancing measures.

There are mainstay dishes such as the Singapore’s chill mud crab served with fried mantou and laksa, Korea’s traditional pork belly bulgogi and kimchi mandu, India’s chicken makhana with naan and Thailand’s green curry chicken. Seafood lovers can get their fill with the seafood on ice with tiger prawns, black mussels, scallops, sea whelk, salmon and tuna sashimi or if you feel like having something Western, there is only a selection of Angus beef steak and barbecued iberico ribs. There is also a limited selection of savoury specials that changes from each day and when I was there on a Saturday, these dishes are available; Korean japchae, herbal chicken soup, Thai grilled pork neck and mala baby lobster. Before you take your leave, do order some sweet treats of soy milk panna cotta, pandan kaya cake and other assortment of kuehs, cakes, pastries, fruits and cheese. The Pink Ruby Yule Log is made with ruby chocolate, which is seemingly a new rose-hued gem in the chocolate scene ever since it was launched in 2017 by Swiss chocolate maker Barry Callebaut. Pretty in pink, the log cake is made with raspberry puree and pink ruby chocolate mousse filling, interlaced with layers of vanilla cream cake and white chocolate feuilletine. As for the latter, the classic combination of chocolate sponge cake, rich chocolate buttercream and caramelised banana will end every meal with a happy note.

Jot this sumptuous buffet restaurant ($58/pax for lunch buffet, $68/pax for dinner buffet) in Crowne Plaza down for special occasions with the fam! It's quality over quantity at this joint, but there's bound to be something for everyone! From the fresh seafood spread that the folks will enjoy, to the much-raved about dessert aisle that will bowl the young ones over. Don't miss out on the tender and flavourful Whole Baked Salmon, fresh seafood on ice, and the signature Warm Chocolate Pudding.

The pastel pink delicate skin and plump Australian scallops wrapped within would already draw some “wow”s.

Let’s just say they are very pretty, and taste just as worthy.

One pop in the mouth and you could slowly savour the moist and juicy flavours of the dumplings. These are further crowned with fragrant toasted sliced almonds.

Imagine egg white elevated with the innate sweet flavours of the crab juices which blends harmoniously.

The other favourite dish of mine is the Sautéed Beef Cubes with Foie Gras Sauce & Garlic.

The new restaurant is located within Crowne Plaza Changi Airport which is near Terminal 3, and there is quite a range of repertoire of Crystal Jade classic dishes and modern take of Chinese dim sum and food.
Worth a venture to the east, especially so if you are nearby.
