Had the highly raved about Mixed Matcha and Hojicha ice cream (~$7) with crunchy chocolate (~+$1) last weekend ๐Ÿฆ
While it was a really intense matcha/hojicha experience, I found it a tad bit too much. Leaning more toward the bitter end, this allowed you to really appreciate the extreme end of the matcha spectrum! Go for the addition of the sauce + chocolate to sweeten the bitter feeling ๐Ÿต

Mixed Flavour Soft Serve (Matcha + Houjicha) ($7) Houjicha was not that intense and more towards strong roasted tea taste whereas Matcha was more heavier, intense and stronger taste. Thank you, Tsujirihei Honten for giving free Yamari Jelly for every soft serve. I really like yamari jelly so much that contain a lot of Dark Green Powdered Tea Warabimochi, Shiratamako and grounded red bean paste. It's so good for warabimochi, shiratamako and ground red bean paste was quite soft and chewy.

Known for its premium matcha tea and hailing all the way from Japan, Tsujirihei Honten has been returning to Takashimaya Food Hall for years. Loyal matcha fans must be familiar with the velvety matcha ice cream drizzled with thick matcha syrup, but this time they topped it up with the famous and absolutely delicious piece of "Uji Green Powdered Tea Chocolate Crunch with Tencha" at no additional cost ๐Ÿ˜š.

Fyi: Each box (9pcs) of the Chocolate Crunch actually costs ยฅ1,458 (~SGD$18).

ๆฏๅนดไปฟไฝ›ๆ˜ฏไธ€ไธช็บฆๅฎš. Tsujirihei Hoten - my favourite Japanese tea shop is back with its robust tea ice cream. My love for the sweet nutty houjicha goes as deep as my love for matcha ๐Ÿ˜˜. Tsujirihei Honten is doing something special for their loyal matcha SG fans. This year they topped up every softserve with a piece of their famous ่ŒถใƒŽ้“ (which cost about $2 each) for free!! ๐Ÿ˜†

Houjicha ($7) is less intense than matcha and more towards strong roasted tea taste. I decided not add sauce into Houjicha Soft Serve as got bad experience during first time having soft serve was melting too fast with adding sauce and also want to try original taste without adding sauce at same time.

@tsujirihei_honten is back at @takashimayasg and I had to have their ultra rich hojicha soft serve! I had it with matcha baumkuchen but the hojicha flavour was so strong it tasted like normal cake ๐Ÿ˜… My favourite topping is still their matcha crunch which has a richer matcha flavour ๐Ÿ˜‹
