A cross between cold soba and ramen (I believe?), this appetizer ($15) delivers a myriad of flavours in an unassuming clear truffle infused broth that the noodles were soaked in. Personally, I'm not a fan of sashimi but I slurped this up at double speed! There was also a generous serving of salmon, crabmeat, ikura and tobiko! Definitely my highlight for the night! Must try!

the yuzu broth was a pleasant surprise. it was really good. the waiters were also very friendly and gave us suggestions for food as we have some dietary restrictions. overall, was a good fusion meal!

I have always loved the sea bass steamed with lots of ginger and chilli paid and was keen to try it with sambal paste instead. I wishes the sambal paste could much more spicy as it was a tad too sweet and it did not bring about the addictive kick that is synonymous with sambal. The seabass was well cooked as it was fresh and succulent.

With the Burpple 1 for 1 main and appetizer deal, I decided to try the dishes that seems unique. Prata and raw salmon could potentially be a good combination; one creamy and fresh while the other crisp. However, this one did not live up to its expectations as the prata was hard and flat. It did not have the nice layered feel which made me feel like I am biting through a hard layer to get to the salmon.

I thought laksa and chilli crab was a rather dangerous combination since the former has a more creamy texture while the latter is generally more spicy and sweet. Babasan delivered well considering how the strong aroma of the laksa leaves were evident and there were also traces of chilli paste which was much milder. Overall, a bold attempt of two of Singaporeans favourite dishes!

We started with complimentary round of shots, had lots of yummy food and ended with copious amt of pretty good and affordable sake!
We had the chili mantou, babasan salad, okonomiyaki, sambal stingray, prata maki, mee siam belly, salmon skin and squid ink fries. Not featured: 1.8l of sake at $80!
