Whenever you asking for the best food in Chai Chee, most people will direct you to this place.

Always a queue leading to their stall in the food court, with a few standard items that you could easily choose.

Of course most people would go for their signature set like this. With all the delicious ingredients putting together. You could request to go with either dry or soup version.

crispy chicken wings with juicy meat inside! it’s $5 for 3 pieces (wing+drum) so the picture only shows 1.5pieces. really liked the chilli sauce too, got kick🌶

as for the YTF, i really liked the soup! but i felt very thirsty after so must have been the MSG oop. portion was quite small for $4.90 too. but i must say that quite a variety of ingredients were included!

This style of Yong Tau Fu is from Malaysia Ipoh. My $6.30 set comes with 6 pieces of Yong Tau Fu with Bee Hoon and 1 piece of deep fried chicken wing. The soup tastes really good. So good I wonder how much MSG was used. Chicken wing was crispy and the meat inside very tender.

Avoid lunch time because the queue can be very long. I’ll be back.

Stuffed beancurd & variation combination of minced meat, seafood mixture, fish paste with rice vermicelli.
A signature bowl to enjoy.

Hidden in Viva Business Park at Chai Chee, Bai Nian Niang Dou Fu serves really yummy and homely yong tau foo! 😋 Unlike other yong tau foo stalls, you don’t get a choice of items as each bowl comes with 7 different items (prawn ball, pork ball, bittergourd, white, black and gold rolls and beancurd). And all these are handmade! Each bowl comes with beehoon (and you can ask for more beehoon at no extra cost!) The chilli sauce is also really yummy and spicy 👍🏼 I preferred the soup version, but I think it’s really up to your personal preference. Really glad to have found this hidden gem and I will definitely be coming back for more 😊

Thanks to my parents, I just learned that the popular “百年 Yong Tau Fu” has an outlet in Viva Business Park in Chai Chee. If I am to split hairs, I think their version is a little different from the original stall in Albert Centre Market & Food Centre. The pieces of “yong tau foo” here seem a tad smaller, are cooked a little softer and are available in a wider variety. Not that I mind any of that because ultimately, it‘s still really tasty.
They offer a bowl of beehoon soup with a fixed assorted mix of handmade “yong tau fu” pieces at either $4.90 or $5.90. I liked how fresh and flavourful every item tasted. Even the clear soup had a good depth.
The chilli sauce is quite the killer despite its cheery bright orange colour. So if you are the kind who can’t handle spicy food, I suggest you approach it with caution.
