So they didn't have Matcha Burnt Cheesecake and they did recommended for Hojicha Burnt Cheesecake. I didn't really mind about Houjicha as they was more prompted for their service. I felt that Hojicha's taste was much stronger than burnt cheesecake. Once again, I felt the moist for cheesecake was quite on the bottom of the cake. Hojicha > Cheese 🧀? Hmmm I don't really appreciate cheesecake tbh as having diary intolerant over and over again. 😭

Matcha Cruffin ($5.50) is under Seasonal Specials (Daily) and made me wondered so long for trying it after opening for at least one year. Didn't expected that it was near Farrer Road MRT (Circle Line) (Exit B) and located behind Empress Market. I will be waiting for Matcha Burnt Cheesecake due to lack of matcha powder for now. Matcha Muffin got that thick and strong bitter aftertaste (not that milky) and need to pair with no sugar based for tea. As mentioned earlier on one of my post, every place I always get a shot if not need to wait for next time ba. I wonder my reviews for food was short-form (quite straight forward) and didn't want to explain too much as people will be getting bored to read lol.

Blue Cheese Burnt Cheesecake (S$9.50/ slice)
Soft and creamy. The blue cheese taste was very distinct. Not too sweet but could too jelat

Bakery Brera is an artisanal neighborhood bakery which specialises in European bakes.

I love their crispy, soft and fluffy croissants whereas @jooeunchung is a big fan of their umami-packed garlic bread.

Their signature lemon curd cruffin is a croissant which resembles a muffin. Croissant dough is moulded so that it rises upwards to resemble a muffin. Tangy and citrousy lemon curd filling is turn piped into the middle of the fresh pastry.

It is definitely pricer compared to our regular neighborhood bakery but this is definitely well worth a trip down!

Pain Au Chocolate⁣
A traditional pastry, the pain au chocolat is a yeasted puff pastry dough wrapped around chocolate 'batons', and in this case, 3 sticks of premium CacaoBarry chocolate bar, promising you chocolate goodness with every bite. They were the atas bread (cause i couldn't read them heh) I went for when I was a kid, when I stepped into the bakery and didn't quite feel like a chocolate sprinkles donut.⁣

My least favourite of the lot. It was pretty dense and dry and I would recommend you pair it with jam rather than eating it on its own.⁣

The bakes here should come with a warning, as once you have tasted them, you won't settle for pale, flabby neighbourhood pastries again.

Boasting a light, airy and shatteringly crisp (after heating it up, that is), with a strong buttery flavor, you could tell these croissants are a labor of love and definitely worth the calories. From plain croissant, to sweet (Almond) and savoury (Triple Cheese Ham) options, they pretty much covered all grounds and did exceedingly well at it.⁣
