My go to bakery for fresh bread whenever I feel like I have a lil more moolAh 🤪🤙🏻💰

Am a big fan of sourdough bread & their olive bread is my personal fav apart from their cranberry flaxseed bread. Pretty pricey as it is $5 for a small portion but i dare say it’s a cut above other bakeries I’ve tried.

$4 flew from my pocket, but decided to make the spend cos this Danish is packed w all the ingredients right up my alley! (Since their pastries are a tad expensive I often spend a loooong time deliberating if I shld make the pastry splurge)

A croissant muffin is genius cos it allows for a filling. Thought this wasn’t their best flavour (I also tried the lemon curd, which I felt was better) but the pastry was beautiful, strong butter notes but not oozing with oil. The salted caramel had more of a ?butterscotch flavour and had too much saltiness in proportion to sweetness. But i guess the sugar coating on the outside made up for that. If you like your flavours many and bold, you’d probably like this!

Meet their offspring Cruffin. I got the Lemon Curd Cruffin ($4.5) and also its dad aka the Croissant ($3). .
Shaped like a muffin using a special mould, the Cruffin was delicately baked with many layers folded with lemon curd within. Citrusy-sweet, buttery, flaky, fluffy, it was a delicious mess to devour. .

The Croissant was crisp on the outside and airy on the inside. I bought this at 8am but only ate it in the afternoon and it still has the full rich buttery flavour, a hallmark of a good croissant. .

Legend has it that the Cruffin babies get on the shelves in 2 batches at 745am and noon but are sold out by 10am and 2pm respectively on weekends. I happen to be in the neighbourhood on a weekend. Well, if you ask me, it seems like the perfect thing to wake up and get their freshly made artisan breads on Saturday 8am. .

Croissant ($3)
Raspberry Brioche Tart ($3.50)
Cruffins ($4.50 each)
- Peanut butter & Jam
- Kaya/Coconut Jam
- Nutty Salted Caramel
- Lemon Curd
Apple Galette ($4.80)
Kouign-Amaan ($4.20)
As some of the pastries (Apple Galette & Kouign-Amaan) were only eaten sometime later, won't be fair to review it.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Cruffin ($4.50)
Thick and chunky peanut butter on top of sweet and tangy raspberry jam; Loved this flavour the most.
Taste: 8/10

Kaya Cruffin ($4.50)
Coconut jam was fragrant and subtly sweet, loads of filling within but I think I'll stick to the kaya butter toast though as there wasn't anything to complement the kaya.
Taste: 6.5/10

Nutty Salted Caramel Cruffin ($4.50)
- Strong notes of almond
- Salted caramel had a very thick consistency and was not cloyingly sweet
Overall, tasted like the most sinful cruffin out of the 4; Definitely get this one if you have a sweet tooth/on a cheat day
Taste: 7.5/10

Lemon Curd Cruffin ($4.50)
Love the thick consistency of the lemon curd but it was slightly too tangy for me, very refreshing though
Taste: 6/10

Raspberry Brioche Tart ($3.50)
Sweet slightly tangy raspberry on top of a buttery, soft, moist dense brioche. Very interesting pastry but don't think I'll buy it again as it was too dense to me and I felt that the brioche could be slightly more buttery for a greater contrast to the raspberry.
Taste: 6/10

Croissant ($3)
I have tried numerous croissants from numerous well-known bakeries (Mother Dough, Bread & Hearth, Keong Saik Bakery, Bread Createur, Nick Vina Artisan, Bread Society, Maison Kayser, Brotherbird Milk & Croissants...), this is truly the airiest and lightest croissant I've had thus far. Consuming it fresh from the bakery, it was crisp and had a good crunchy exterior, breaking into an extremely fluffy interior that was not too buttery. As a result, it did not feel too rich and will leave you space for their other baked goods.
Taste: 9.5/10
