Seriously coming to Amoy Street Food Centre for so many times, I actually didn’t know about this stall until seeing posts about them recently.

Today I decided to tabao their nasi padang and I totally surprised by the taste! It was so good and really hope I would have know of this stall much earlier.

Even though the stall is managed by Chinese auntie, but the taste remain the same as you have from those Malay stalls.

The curry was delicious and mix well with all the items I gotten. And please remember to add the mini tahu telur.

Banana Leaf Nasi Padang at Amoy Street Food Centre (2nd storey) is really good. Although I’m not a fan of deep fried food, the fried chicken cutlet is phenomenal - the meat is super tender and the batter is super crispy🤩 The stall features classic nasi padang staples such as sambal long bean with tempeh, beef rendang, assam fish and curry chicken, as well as their signature mini tahu goreng that are less commonly found in other nasi padang stalls. The dishes are generally very flavourful and rich, and I appreciate that the stall offers the option of brown rice too:) At $4.50 for 2 meat and 2 vege, it’s pretty reasonably priced too:)

Do you look at others' food and wonder 'where is that from?' when deciding what to eat in a hawker centre? Sometimes you really end up eyeballing a gem. ☺️ Partook in the Amoy food centre lunchtime lines today and saw this golden cutlet and tauhu telur on a few people's plates while waiting in a nasi lemak line(that was so slow and seemed like no end). Got frustrated at the queue, went around and spotted that stall. 💫
Uber-crispy, juicy-inside golden chicken cutlet; an eggy tahu telur drizzled with kicap manis (dark sweet sauce) and a glorious fried egg and kickass chilli. No wonder this nasi padang stall run by a Chinese couple is a favourite - they cook/fry as they serve along so the stuff is piping hot. Douse with the curry on the rice. Discovered a gem today.
