Popular mookata place with multiple locations around SG. I had a platter for two that includes marinated chicken thigh, marinated pork collar, marinated pork belly, smoked duck, prawn, scallop, squid, fishball, crab stick, Chinese cabbage, xiao bai chye, sweet corn, enoki and egg. Ala-carte items start from $1.90/plate and we got an add-on for a garlic pork collar.

The meats are well marinated and delicious - look plain but are very flavourful! It goes very well with their Thai chilli sauce with a mix of sweet and spicy flavours. I love that they deshell the prawns, leaving just the head and tail. Prices are very reasonable (no GST & service charge) with a wide range of options to choose from. The set is value for money and the best option for first-timers and those who want variety.

Just $16 for 2 pax to eat a full meal (4 meats, 2 veggies, 1 sausage, 2 packs of mama noodle and an egg). Super super super worth. Go for the pork belly, garlic chicken and marinated chicken.

.
There is a decent range of cuts of meat to go with your meal. Of these, the pork and chicken are the freshest, and usually safe choices, while the beef was a miss for me. These should be grilled, and contribute good meaty savoury salty sweet smoky flavour.
.
There is a good range of vegetables too. Most should ideally be steamed, which lends a vegetal earthy herbal sweet flavour, enhancing the base soup / broth.
.
The seafood here is mostly fresh, although some are clearly frozen. For the price though, I can't really complain. These are better grilled, giving it a smoky savoury sweet flavour, though steaming works if you want cleaner sweet savoury flavours.
.
Portions are ala-carte, with each order sized for 2 people. Prices are the most affordable and value for money of any mookata, budget about SGD $9 per person for a meal here.

Opening in July 2014, they've since grown to 8 outlets across Singapore.
.
Their appeal includes their convenient heartland location(s), decent quality of seafood, meat, and vegetables, and most importantly, their affordable, value for money prices (they are likely the cheapest mookata around).
.
All in all, a winning mu kratha formula for this Thai hot pot / steamboat & grill concept.
.
There's something to be said for their house made chili dipping sauces too - a sweet spicy version, and a fiery kicker version with a lingering burn.
