Pork Bánh Mì ($4.50) + Egg ($1) + Iced Coffee ($1)

As the Pork option already comes with Pâté, I decided to add Egg instead to make it fuller. The Pork & Egg went very well together.

Add $1 to make it a set. Iced Vietnamese Coffee all the way!

Beef Bánh Mì ($4.50) + Pâté ($1)

Pâté is the way to go! I consider it an essential in a Bánh Mì. As the Beef option doesn’t come with it, I added some.

Beef is surprisingly good, for someone who usually go for Ham option, I like the tender and juicy beef a lot.

my first time trying banh mi and i love it! they have really affordable options here and the serving size is not bad. bread was crispy and well toasted + beef was saucy and flavourful. will definitely come back again given it’s affordable price.

Serving some solid, quality banh mi, Banh Mi Thit by Star Baguette was so good - my photos definitely didn’t do the food justice. Their offerings were really affordable too as at $5.50 for a set, you get a drink and choice of banh mi.

Thus, I got the Pork Banh Mi ($4.50/ ala-carte) with a hot cup of Thai Milk Tea ($1.50/ ala-carte). Simple yet well-executed, the thin slices of pork, ham, and pork pâté were nicely balanced with the crunchy vegetables and sprigs of coriander. The acidity from the pickled carrots and bits of freshness from the herb helping to cut the richness of the meats. Yet the drizzle of their special sauce and the mayonnaise found between the crusty loaf was the icing on the cake as they added some real oomph to the sandwich. Oh, and the Thai Milk Tea was fragrant and not overly sweet.

Stuffed with sliced onions, cucumbers, lettuce, tender beef slices, and sprigs of coriander; my friend's order of their Beef Banh Mi ($4.50/ ala-carte) held a tad more moisture and depth of flavour as compared to my Pork Banh Mi. The sweet-savoury sauce slathered in between also working well together with the greens and beef - perfect for those seeking a heartier banh mi. And of course, the baguette itself is worth a mention as it had a good amount of fluffiness on on the inside. Light and crispy, the bread tasted fresh and paired up beautifully with the ingredients.
