This snazzy diner on Jalan Batai may be new, but it's fast becoming one of the top spots for burgers, beers and more. Set in an airy, outdoor area with large tables, Barbenque will make a superb choice for your next after-work group gathering. The Barbenque Burger (RM12) provides simple satisfaction with what Tastemaker Alyssia describes as "a juicy beef patty with ultra-soft brioche bun". The burger's a classic, seeking to please with familiar trimmings like iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and ketchup. Forgo the ordinary fries and go instead for the life-changing Avocado Wedges (RM15) — thick, creamy cuts of avocado coated in a crunchy batter. For drinks, grab a beer (from RM15) on tap from the pop-up Belly Beer Bar. Pro tip: Snag a seat once you've ordered — the service staff will holler when your food is ready to be picked up at the window.
Avg price per person: RM20

Ben's recently opened up a restaurant specialising in burgers and I obviously did not waste any chance in trying. Lucky me, they had the RM10 promotion where it comes with a choice of either chicken or beef burger, fries and soda. The promotion sadly has ended. I don't have much to talk about this burger. I felt like it was just normal, but maybe I should come back just to give them another chance.

For someone who hates vegetable, who knew there would be a day where I would say "I want a plate of avocado fries please"? Unbelievably, that day arrived, and I regretted nothing. I would have regretted if I didn't get it though. It felt so healthy at the same time so sinful because of the batter. It came with some white dip, it's so fascinating.

You would be probably familiar with American diner food which are famous for their everything is fried from the fried mars bars to the fried cheese cakes! Well the people from the BIG group has just made our late night snack much more greasy and oh so satisfying with their last venture of Bar Ben Que! This place is the heaven of all things burger and kebabs with a variety of sides from the normal fries to the sloppy Joe and their most talked about sides called the Fried Avocado! When I first saw their Instagram, i told myself that I'm determined to try it one day! And that day finally came! The venue of it is really laid back and open and the system of it is simple; just order at the counter and have a sit while waiting for your order to be done and make sure you keep your eyes and ears peel as they will called out your name for your food! Yup it's all self service but can say that they are rather speedy on their cooking and it's all done perfectly!. They do have beers on tap(RM12-15) if you're into pairing of beer and that juicy beef burger of yours! The fried Avocado(RM23) in terms of portion is good enough for one unless you're having it alone then you can still have the stomach to order more!(like their mars bars). In terms of texture; the batter that is used to fry the creamy yet buttery Avocado is crispy, soft, light and not oily and the amazing thing was the batter after being fried just coats the avocado wedges like a second skin which just wraps around ever so perfectly! The first bite that I had just sends me that ultimate pleasure in my mouth as the texture of the avocado isn't compromise from the frying technique and the batter is just so well played that it givings you the pleasure of both worlds of crispy fried exterior and the smooth, creamy yet buttery interior which just gives you joy in every bite! Love this side a lot! A must try when you're in this burger joint! They opens late till 1am on weekdays and until 2am on weekends!

The all new American late night supper joint Barbenque by @thebiggroup at jalan batai.

Serving burger, kebabs and some side that great to have with beer. The beef burger that I had remind me a lot of US. It's just like the burger joint in state, think about in n out or shakeshack.

The barbenque burger with grilled Australian beef patty, crisp iceberg, tomatoes, homemade special sauce, ketchup and toasted brioche bun. The juicy beef patty with ultra soft brioche bun, serving with fries and soft drinks 😍everything is on point.

Operating hour is until 2am in the weekend and 1am for weeknight. 🎉
