The white wine & Japanese venus clams pasta (front) was good, but not very memorable. I personally liked the pork meatball & tomato (back) pasta more! The cheese on top of the meatballs was the cherry on top.

One of my favourite pastas here! They’re quite generous portion wise, especially with the bacon and mushrooms 😍

• Spagetthi Arrabbiata Style Crispy Soft Shell Crab - "Angry Pasta" with chili, assorted field mushroom, basil, seasonal vegetable, cherry tomato, Parmesan cheese tomato concasse, lemon oil & crispy soft she'll crab
• RM29.90
• 8/10

Come for the tasty, well-portioned pasta that's worth the trek and, on weekends, the queue. Start with the savoury Mushroom Soup (RM7.90) that's redolent of wild mushrooms and olive oil. As for mains, don't miss the light, truffle oil-drizzled Cream and Pork Bacon (RM18.90), best had with spaghetti to soak up all that luscious sauce. Otherwise, go for a more adventurous Ox Tongue Ragu Bolognese (RM22.90).

At that price, the mushroom soup is great. Packs all the savoury, aromatic mushroom flavour in that creamy soup, without all too being overpowering.

Good stuff! Like carbonara but not quite as heavy, this truffle-drizzled pasta is now my top order at Basil. The egg helps bring everything together, and by that, I mean the slivers of salty bacon, onions, parsley and button mushrooms!

Had both the spaghetti and fettuccine; the former fared better!
