The brownie was disappointing, having more of a cake like texture and wasn't fudgey enough. This was a nice place to eat at with a chill ambience but the food sadly didn't appeal to us that much.

The Deconstructed Beef Wellington is a a christmas special and it was interesting but the only part of the dish that stood out was the puff pastry. The beef was a bit tough and more cooked than we asked for it to be.

The Eggstraordinary Eggs was a rather unique dish indeed with crumbed crispy soft boiled eggs, chicken harissa sausage, roasted asparagus, beetroot, and rocket on bread. I liked how the eggs were done but would have preferred it with more flavour.

This dish comes with an English muffin stack, Australian grass fed ribeye, kombu, scrambled eggs, arugula, tomatoes, parmesan and homemade chips. I got the ribeye in medium-rare and it was perfect. I don’t know what sauce they drizzled onto the arugula but it was super delicious, in a sweet and savoury way too. Scrambled eggs were very well cooked. I’ll definitely be coming back for this again :) Worth my penny, definitely.

Also love how this cafe takes reservations, so you don’t have to always wait awkwardly outside. Saw some pets on my way out, so I guess it’s pet-friendly too.

This sweet little thing on Bearded Bella’s menu caught our eye for firstly its fanciful name, Pain Perdu (aka fancy af French toast), and secondly a pink guava compote in a French toast. The pan-fried Brioche was fluffy, and drenched with much maple syrup. However, we struggled to detect any pink guava notes, but instead I found it more like a pink grapefruit. Additionally, it was a pretty thin layer of compote that was probably overshadowed by the sticky sweet maple syrup. Served along with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, fresh fruits and cardamom that was unfortunately undetectable as well.

really nice and simple cafe at Tanjong Pagar that really impressed us with their food! I decided on the spiced scramble($18). It was served with turmeric scramble, truffle, crispy kale and mushroom medley on a thick, soft sourdough bread. This dish was hearty with a creamy, slightly spiced scramble. The truffle was fragrant and helped to elevate a simple scramble. The mushroom medley was a mix of shiitake, enoki and Shimeji mushrooms. The mushrooms were crunchy and well seasoned! I really loved the crispy kale😍 it was a healthy addition to the dish but it was so crispy it’s like eating kale chips! My friend ordered the brie mine ($24) which was a burger with pork and beef homemade patty, bandied cherries and Brie cheese. She really really enjoyed this burger!! They gave a thick slice of Brie then was charred to give it that softness in the centre.
