Another item I tried for tea is this interesting muffinut/ donuffin (cant remember which but the point was clear- a combination of muffin and donut as one). Earning innovative brownie points initially- the baked muffin was less dense (probably coming from the bread element of donuts if I was being imaginative and supportive) and simply coated in cinnamon sugar like a donut would be. It had a centre of filling-of which I choose Nutella and was sadly not singing sweet praises after finishing it in less than 10 bites 🙊.

Pardon the miser tone tagged to this post but I am alarmed at how expensive scones can be as compared to the cheaper yet comparable (IMHO) options available at M&S for example.
Save for the fact- the two small scones we finished in 3 bites; these were great scones with a disproportionate amount of outsourced jam from Wilkin & Sons (2 glass tubes to be exact- good to take home) and butter like clotted cream.
The whole tea set with refillable pot of tea was £8.50- a rather standard price for scone and tea sets around.
