The noodles were pedestrian, the beef was tough, but ho damn the broth was flavour packed. Yes there's probably msg and lots of salt but what's impressive is not only the fullness of flavour, it's how much the sweetness of vegetables come through too.

Worth a try if you're in the area. Unhealthy as it was, it impressed

Bedok Beef Kway Teow #01-45
Beef Kway Teow Dry ($4)
The Kway Teow had a thick gravy coating it, which from what I read online means that it is the Hainanese version, something like lor mee. Personally, I prefer the Teochew-style dry kway teow which simply comes with some chili and sesame oil. The soup/beef broth was flavourful but definitely not as thick or strong as the one at Maxwell.
Taste: 6/10 (It's a good bowl of noodles but I personally do not like the thick gravy and I think the soup can be improved)

Bowl of beef goodness before my cycling adventure!! 4$ a bowl but 5$ if u want the tendon part. Overall satisfying broth and scrumptious meat! We preferred it with thick beehoon instead of the thick kway teow they served! Mum thought this would now replace amk's Hong Heng so definitely the thing to get besides nasi lemak here! (P.s: tried wanton mee from the Ipoh hor fun stall and was so disappointed w the poorly prepared dish )-: also the acclaimed no.1 1.5$ chendol opp the food court was bad too)

Simply the best satay ever eaten. Pork belly is soft. Not the usual satay, will keep coming back for more.
