Hands down the best carrot cake in SG!! I canβt identify what exactly they added that makes it different and a clear cut above most other renditions, but this was absolutely delish. We ordered a large portion ($5) - it usually comes with premium ingredients like shrimp, but we opted to have a larger plate of carrot cake instead. Very tasty!!
This store took over Teoβs, which was famous for its fishballs! You can give these minced meat noodles ($3) a miss - the noodles were mushy and dry with regular factory-produced toppings.
π Yong tau foo bee hoon with laksa gravy (S$3.80). Have been craving for hot foods since the weather has been cold. (6pcs YTF with bee hoon cost $3 add laksa gravy $0.80).
They were generous with the bee hoon. It looks dry but because the laksa gravy has soaked into the noodles, its really yummy.

May look like regular fishball noodles, but this is a notch above. The fishball and meatballs are handmade, and they contain little or no flour in them, creating a different meaty texture, with a great flavour. The noodles were springy and beware, the chilli packs a punch! It's my go-to whenever I'm here π
Yong Hwa Delights (Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre)
Fishball noodles ($3/4)
Love their pau and dimsum!
Had the lotus pau, carrot cake, char siew pastry, peanut fritterπ₯ and fried yam char siew for $4+
All these for only $10!
The noodle is chewy, soup is very flavourful and the scrambled egg is delicious π
Gyoza is juicy and packed with filling
Xiao cai (seaweed) is affordable and interesting
Must try their chilli πΆ very fragrant and not too spicy
