I had heard this is one of the cheapest places for top-grade steaks. USDA prime, ribeye, 300g, medium, $108. Aged beef is just different. Unlike the Muay Thai that's fresh beef, this is like Tai Chi. It looked, felt and tasted quiet, but there's an extraordinary depth to it. The taste actually lingered. It's also more dense and less messy, a product of the ageing. The trademark corn taste was also present. The bearnaise sauce on the other hand was like cream sauce and too much of a contrast with the meat.

I had heard this is one of the cheapest places for top-grade steaks. This must be a signature when the brand's name is in the dish's name. 350-day grain-fed Australian wagyu ribeye, 300g, medium rare, $108. I had wanted Aussie wagyu over US prime beef, ribeye over striploin and tenderloin. I do medium at cheap beef spots, but at better places I do medium rare because you trust the meat quality and the chef. This steak was on the tender side. It was tasty, but not really beefy. What enhanced it was the significant fats. The black peppercorn sauce, which makes the steak a pepper steak, was redundant as I wanted to savour the beef.

It must be a signature when the brand's name is in the dish's name. Some people think I don't like mac & cheese. What I don't like is mediocre mac & cheese. A good mac & cheese is irresistible. I won't gush over this like many diners do, but it's very good for sure. An outstanding crust covers some very rich but not jelak cheeses. The macaroni here isn't curved, it's straight.

A legend in its own right, Bedrock has been THE place for steak dinners for countless couples’ date nights, friends’ gatherings and family get-togethers since 2008. You can always count on rolling out of there, burping with satisfaction because portions are mostly hearty and everything is impeccably prepared.
I highly recommend the steaks here. They have never not been cooked perfectly to my requested medium-rare. On my latest visit, I chose the Bedrock Pepper Steak. The 300gm slab of 350-days-grain-fed Wagyu Ribeye was unbelievably tender and flavourful. No doubt the black peppercorn sauce was wonderfully aromatic but I found the beef already superb on its own.

Noticeably unique is the complimentary bread Bedrock starts you off with - an extremely soft and puffy pita-like pocket. Made fresh on the spot, it reaches you steaming hot, and when spread with the accompanying salted butter and creamy whole cloves of roasted garlic, hits you dead centre in the swoon-trigger button.

A gorgeously crafted structure, this dessert is very well-balanced in flavour and delivers an enjoyable mouthfeel due to its composition of raspberry white chocolate ice cream, butter cookies, tiny crunchy chocolate balls and meringue. It even comes with a show-stopping finale of a flambé of rum right at your table.
Oh, one last thing. Make sure you leave enough belly space for this because it is huge!
