From the Burpple community

Plan your next family gathering over fresh seafood and steamboat at this humble Chinese restaurant. Order the delectable Steamboat (RM19.50 per pax) which gets you the usual meatballs, beancurd and more. You can choose between a tom yum or clear soup, but the community prefers the latter for its well-balanced flavours. Though pricey, Burppler Rueann Dass highly recommends getting the signature Crab Mee Hoon (from RM50). β€œThe dark soy sauce envelopes the thin vermicelli while fresh crabs chock full of roe fight for a place in there.” Sounds just heavenly.

I like the steamboat here. You can choose between clear soup or tomyum or both. Their seafood are quite fresh apparently from pulau ketam.

SS15's go-to for steamboat, Bee Ho spans two spacious shoplots that fill up in a flash on weekends. If schedule allows, make it here for a laidback weekday dinner with your family. The restaurant that cites its Pulau Ketam descent prides itself on a pleasantly sweet clear soup base, as well as their fiery chilli paste that cannot be missed. Order the all-rounder Steamboat Set (RM18.80 per pax), which comes with the usual trimmings like prawns, fish fillet, meatballs and the like. It's essential to please different palates, but shrink the set order to keep tummy and table space for something even better. The Crab Mee Hoon (priced by the amount of crabs at RM68/kg) is heavensent for crustacean lovers. Stir-fried in dark sauce with fresh crabs, the silky mee hoon takes on the titillating flavours of crab roe. The only downside to dining here is its slow service, likely due to short-staffing. Thankfully, the do-it-yourself steamboat will help keep you busy while waiting on other orders.

Bee Ho serves a pricey plate of mee hoon but damn, it's good! The dark soy sauce envelopes the thin vermicelli while fresh crabs chock full of roe fights for a place in there. Altogether, it's a delight between slurping up the tasty mee hoon with roe bits and digging into the crabs for its sweet flesh. There is also steamboat with a spanking chilli sauce, but that's all secondary to this baby.

Back to basics, simple steamboat dish with fresh seafood and clear soup. Known for their fresh fish balls and Fried noodles with crab roe.
