We visited at 8pm on Sunday for some dinner. I ordered a vongole and it was absolutely tasteless. The clams were rubbery and altogether the dish was bland. I’ve had some good and average vongoles in my life but this was unfortunately sub par even by relative standards. When I brought this up to the waiter, there was no apology, he just said he would “throw this all away” and just ask the chef to redo the dish. This didn’t feel like an appropriate response to me, even if they were going to throw it away in the back, saying it to my face made me feel even worse about the whole situation. The replacement dish was marginally tastier but the experience was already ruined. My partner had the cannelloni which was also average but at least it had some taste.

Pros: big serving sizes
Cons: tasteless food, service staff lacking EQ, ambience indoor seating not great, try to sit outside

Their signature dish. Pizza was a little salty, but expected it because of salami and cheese. Crust is cripsy. Overall still delicious with some chili flakes.

Delicious handmade pasta, chewy and not too soft.
The sauce was not too strong and keeps you wanting more.
The minced beef was done perfectly.

Apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. Lots of chunky spiced apple cubes when you dig into the pot! Not enough crumbs, wish there were more!

Mascarpone cheesecake.

Always appreciate when restaurants make their own sponges and not use the store bought ones. The sponges were pretty well soaked, in coffee liquor. Wish there were more of those sponges and so much soak they actually ooze out when you plunge your fork into them 😅

This pizza belonged under the white pizzas.

It was my nightmare came true choosing to go back to basics with this four cheese pizza. Not entirely certain what cheeses are used but definitely mozzarella, and there is some dollop of gorgonzola/blue cheese (could have added more for the contrast that is seriously missing here) The combination of cheeses resulted in a thick, bland lump sitting on top the crusty dough.

I added tons of chilli flakes but it did not significantly improve the taste. Perhaps it’s due to the base of the pizza which could have been better if the red base was used instead to provide a contrasting flavor.
