Taking over Bakar along Lorong Kurau is a new concept by The Big Group. All about josper-grilled chicken, solo diners can feast on the Quarter Chicken + 2 Sides (RM22) with options such as the Chicken Salt Chips and Roasted Sesame Yuzu Coleslaw. Look forward to super juicy, well-cooked meat with sexy grill marks on the outside. Otherwise, come with the gang to tuck into a Whole Chicken (RM45) and the Gravy Baby Fries (RM15). Boost up the flavours with their delicious housemade sauces – we’re big fans of the Toum Garlic Sauce (RM3) and the Piri-Piri Ketchup (RM2).

Solid meal for one! Love the sweet pomegranate with the smoky grilled chicken. And tasted even better with the garlic sauce.

Great new spot by the BIG group! Definitely an upgrade from Nando’s for the same thing at maybe an even lower price? We opted for the classic chicken over the spicy with fries (of course) and yuzu coleslaw. Meat was cooked well with juicy insides, and pairs excellently with the garlic sauce. Definitely yes to the fries, but might want to skip on the coleslaw.

Much like a fancier (better?) Nandos, Ben’s cluckin’ new chicken diner doles out grilled chicken with a selection of sides (you can also go with 1 side, or none at all). We went with the classic chicken, which is fairly delicious on its own but could do with a dash of that toum garlic sauce for boosted flavours.

Meat is cooked well, with those sexy grill marks on the outside and juicy insides to boot. Fries with chicken salt? So smart! But skip the yuzu sesame slaw that was... mediocre at best.

Josper-grilled chicken that’s nicely charred, on a Mediterranean-style bed of rice. One of Ben’s concepts done well, and priced decently too!
