okAaay???? look at that. this blueberry tart was $8, all their pastries looked amazing but i decided to go for this. slightly crumbly and a tad bit too sweet, i wouldn’t get this again but maybe because my cravings hyped it up. i wouldn’t blame them. it was good, but not great

ordering from the breakfast club section of their menu, we got the truffle egg brioche ($16) and the egg taco ($14) and they were both amazing. the truffle egg brioche had a nice amount of truffle taste and the brioche was not super thick and not dry at all. it was a good brioche. egg taco was nice too - their maple glazed bacon kinda tasted like bak kwa. this wasn’t as filling as the brioche but both were really good. price justifies the size of their food and they didn’t go wrong anywhere! the service was also good even though there was only one person running the morning crowd, before one other person came during brunch hours. they maintained professionalism at all times despite the crowd! 10/10 wld go again to try more of their things🤩

The Truffled Egg Brioche ($16) comes with a luxurious spread of scrambled egg, shaved parmesan, smoked salmon and bacon bits on top of a pillowy toasted brioche. The scrambled egg is super creamy and each mouthful brings a burst of truffle fragrance. The price is quite steep for the portion size though - thankfully it tastes pretty good!

The Portuguese Egg Tart had crisp pastry layers with a slightly sweet egg custard in it. They also sell pastries, desserts and sandwiches for people looking for a light meal.

@berthold.delikatessen serves brunch items under their The Breakfast Club menu daily until 3pm. The Eggs Shakshouka was served with italian ham, fried onion, basil, olives, capers, smoked paprika along with toasted bread sticks. I liked how the different ingredients went together well while the bread sticks were really fragrant with both chewy and crisp textures too.

Christmas-themed bottled drinks are not an entirely new concept; Old Hen Coffee Bar/Kitchen had always been known to offer their Peppermint Cocoa beverage during the festive season. That being said, it’s still pretty much something which I am glad to have more options of — The Cool Santa Brew is Berthold Delikatessen’s Christmas special, with other variants of Slow Brew Coffee such as Black & White (Coffee with Milk and Sugar Syrup), Shot in the Dark (Coffee), Ready to Matcha (Coffee with Matcha, Milk and Sugar Syrup) and Veni Vidi Vivo (Coffee with Toffee Cream) being available on the usual menu.

Coming with a miniature Santa hat over the top for that extra festive mood, The Cool Santa Brew features the same slow brewed coffee featuring 100% single estate Arabica coffee from Costa Rica, infused with orange and cinnamon which sounds pretty Christmas-y. Felt that the notes of orange was a tad overwhelming — the beverage barely tasting of the bitter undertones of black coffee; not quite my sort of thing. Still; looking forward to give the Veni Vidi Vivo a try the next time!
