From the Burpple community

After you have finished around 2/3 of your Dakgalbi, you can request to add kimchi fried rice, which costs around $5++ per serving. While this is a pretty cool way to make use of the remaining parts of the dakgalbi, we felt that the rice was a little too wet for our liking.

At this point, we felt that we should really have added the cheese because the relatively large portion of rice served made the dish a bit boring after a while.

The food here may not be fancy, but it's clearly prepared with heart. Start off with the Suyuk Boiled Pork Belly served with vegetables and sauces, you'll be taught how to eat it three different ways. Burppler Zoey Belle Wannabe recommends going for the Dakgalbi ($36), spicy marinated chicken with vegetables and Korean rice cakes. "What's best is that after you finish half, you can request for the staff to turn it into a fried rice." Because of limited seating, be sure to make reservations!

Found a hidden gem! 💎 First time eating something that I just can't stop even when I'm so full because.. it's just tooo goooooooood!! 🤤😋 Will highly recommend to try their signature Dakgalbi (Spicy Grilled Chicken), which is marinated chicken in homemade spicy sauce stirred fried with rice cakes and assorted vegetables. What's best is that after you finish half, you can request for the staff to turn it into a fried rice. And this is the key here, to unlock a hell of an appetite! Try it if you crave some awesome Korean home made food, they don't do deliveries because they believe that it will affect their food quality. That explains why the food was good isn't it? 😌 #bigmamakoreanrestaurant

i am always fascinated with korean side dishes and was so happy when served with 6 different side dishes.. the bibimbap is good but the banchan took the gold... the anchovies were seasoned well and is not salty just like others.. having japchae as a side is really nice... and the lotus root with the sesame sauce is really nice..

will surely come back..

Lovely side dishes

I was here for lunch on a weekday afternoon and pretty shocked to see the restaurant so empty .

Then I figured why - the main courses were a little pricey and there wasn’t an affordable set lunch option.

The Kim Chi soup set came with a pretty small pot of soup and rice and came up to be 15 dollars before taxes .

The side dishes were However pretty high in quality but don’t expect hearty refills . At most 2 rounds and perhaps that’s all .... get the hint ?

Parking is a HUGE problem here fyi. Food portion not the most worth it, but the free flow sides made up for it. HOWEVER if you’re dining during lunch/dinner hours please be prepared to be actually chased out for incoming customers LOL. I’m sorry but cannot see myself going back there. Prices also on the high side.
