Always welcomed on a hot hot afternoon when I’m in the area. The smell of the shop will draw you in - the aroma of their Thyme Cone 🌿
Too many flavours to decide on, I’m always falling back to the usual pistachio and the chocolate hazelnutty Midnight Gianduja 🤤 Smooth, rich and creamy gelato.
I tried Sea-Salt Hojicha + Osmanthus Pear Sobert (diary-free) (double scoop) for this round of time. I think that the thyme cone smell is so similar 👌 sea-salt hojicha was milky and creamy compared to osmanthus pear sobert was refreshing and less milky & creamy. I almost forgot to describe the taste for both of them. But then sea-salt hojicha is that mild roasted tea flavour whereas osmanthus pear sobert was fruit based ice cream flavour.
We walked past bird of paradise, the smell of waffle took me in. I was so full (combination of trying to fast during the date with a couple of sweets; i ate too fast and the coconut in the laksa made me bloated;) i thought since i was here, i must have one. So i picked lychee rose in cone. Very refreshing light icecream, probably neutralised the acid in my stomach, i felt so much better after having the icecream. I was told it was my imagination. Anyway, i dont care. I did feel less bloated!
Finally got to try this popular ice cream that I read so many reviews about.
The toughest part of this visit, was what flavour to get. All looks very good.
After much deliberation, decided to get the popular white chrysanthemum.
It was certainly very good and i realised that chrysanthemum does make a good ice cream flavour. I was initially skeptical if this was any good.
But what totally surprised me here, was the freshly prepared waffle cone, really smells and taste great and will go well with any ice cream.
$6(single scoop with cone)
$9(double scoop with cone)
Loved the roasted sesame!!! It may look mild but it’s has such strong sesame flavours - it’s sweet but not overly so, gives me bssm tangyuan vibes in terms of flavour. It’s actually roasted white sesame with bssm swirled in, and it’s nutty and fragrant, big yums 🤤 Texture-wise, it’s rather smooth and creamy.
Dark choc sorbet was rich and chocolatey, was rather refreshing for a chocolate flavour - not as heaty and creamy. It’s lighter on the palate! Texture was smooth and not at all icy, it’s one of the few sorbets I like and have tried a few time :’)
Thankfully queue not too long when we reached and managed to get our cones quickly
Both look similar but the flavours definitely is not.
Mint flavour not very strong but bit sweet in my opinion and PB sticking with his fav-white chrysanthemum
