Due to covid, tasting samples are no longer provided before purchasing and I must admit I was a bittt stressed about selecting the flavours HAHA - I mean how often do I come to jewel and birds of paradise?? But I had absolutely no regrets with the chocolate gianduja - it’s legit as good as the chocolate gelatos I had back in Italy, thick and creamy and just right sweetness for me. The spiced pear was a bit more underwhelming for me, maybe cos the intense flavour of the chocolate overpowered it. Yet, it was important to have something light to balance out the chocolate. I would recommend the chrysanthemum though!

Lychee raspberry is my go-to flavour! Love the combination of both refreshing and strong hojicha taste 😛 Went at 6pm, no queue HEHE

Really love their white chrysanthemum flavor!! It comes w chocolate bits as well.

Pistachio was a bit more robust in flavor and is stronger tasting as well

refreshing double ice cream scoops for $7.70. white chrysanthemum had cocoa bits inside! interesting floral flavour!! lychee raspberry was refreshing

Birds of a paradise is a conceptual ice-cream place that aims to serve up flavors that are close to nature. I always come here for a quick cold fix. One thing I love about their ice-cream are the very natural and light flavours which almost makes it feel very healthy and not at all sinful after having it everytime. The cones are also one of the reason why they are so popular, as they make their own unique cones that has this herb infused fragrant to it which is just extremely enjoyable and tasty.

White chrysanthemum gelato with thyme cone, must say that i was pleasantly surprised how well white chrysanthemum can go w dairy!
