Worst dining experience ever. Walked into the shop with only two diners during dinner time and was rudely told off by the boss that I should not dine in if Iโ€™m ordering only one popiah with no drinks.

When I told him to be mindful of his customer service and pointed out that there was no sign specifying I am not allowed to dine in without ordering a drink, I was scolded by him and told I (as a customer) should not be talking that way to the boss of the store.

Very unfortunate customer service given their long history as a chain serving good quality food. The two service staff behind the counter were friendly except for the person who claimed to be the boss.

This home-grown traditional popiah brand has been serving handmade popiah since 1958 โœจ

Started out as a push cart stall and now with 10 outlets islandwide, their new outlet is located within Sim Lim Square. The establishment is also Muslim-friendly and affordably priced ๐Ÿ’ธ

Canโ€™t visit without trying their handmade popiah ๐ŸŒฏ The signature item is packed with delicious crunchy turnip fillings and crunchy bits for added textural contrast. I like that their popiah skin isnโ€™t too thick but is still substantial enough to hold all the ingredients together ๐Ÿฅบ Also available with chicken cutlet and prawn.

Exclusive to Sim Lim Square only, the flavourful laksa is chopped into bite size pieces ๐Ÿœ The thick white beehoon comes with prawn, fish cake, taupok and shrimp chilli paste. Value for money!

(update: heard that there were some tweaks made to the broth based on customer feedback)

Also had one of their staples kueh pie tee. Crispy pastry shell filled with turnip fillings.

Overall, a good place to find quick and affordable meals and snacks. You can also purchase their DIY sets for your own popiah party!

First time trying their waffles. We had the chicken cutlet ๐Ÿ— one which was well-complemented with the sweet savoury combination of sauces. Apart from the satisfying savoury waffle, they also have other assorted flavours that you can find in a typical neighbourhood waffle spot (blueberry, kaya, peanut butter) and ice cream waffles ๐Ÿง‡

Oily, big, crispy and packed full of vegetables. Quite filling as got tang hoon in it. It's okay.
