Most people should familiar with this stall at this food centre, as the queue is always long and usually take about half an hour just to reach the front of the stall to make your order.

You would see them patiently getting your order, preparing it bowl by bowl non-stop.

I went for the dry version as I want the taste to be stronger with the soy sauce. Not disappointing at all with the overall flavour.

Love the texture of the sheng mian, that goes well with the simple ingredients of dried anchovy and prawns. Accompanied with a whole bowl of the soup.

Seldom find sheng mian stalls bc the noodles take longer to cook so no one wants to sell. The noodles were well-cooked. Soup was flavourful. The meat slices not very tender. The prawns were fresh and can taste the sweetness. Value for money and will buy again.

Just when the soup version was already good, the dry version is even better. Using the same ingredients from the soup version with the addition of dark sauce and sambal chilli paste, it brings everything to a different level with a savoury and umami flavour. I prefer to chew these hand-pulled noodles coated in the richness of their savoury sauce and chilli paste. This is something worth queuing for its taste, quality and price 》$3/small

This is one of the rare places that still makes freshly handmade dough and hand-pulls it into mee hoon kueh upon order. The effort of hand-pulling results in uneven texture in each piece, giving a good and chewy bite to it. Each bowl comes with vegetables, minced pork, fried anchovies, prawn and egg in a simple yet slightly sweet broth 》$3/small

The noodle served in very homey broth, not overall tasty but comforting, prawns, minced meat, pork, vegetables and egg.

PS : According to my frenz the texture of mee hoon kueh is very good, and they chose the mee hoon kueh over the noodle.

As with all foodies, when you have to queue in line for a long time, you end up ordering more to justify the waiting time and that is exactly what we did with a bowl of Sheng Mian Soup ($3.50) and Mee Hoon Kuay Dry ($3.50). Between the two, if you are craving for a bowl of noodles with a homecooked taste, then the soup version will be the choice for you. However, if you are craving for something different, I will recommend the dry mee hoon kuay version as the freshly pulled noodles has an excellent chew texture and the shape of it is able to hold the black sauce and chilli better. The accompany ingredients like prawn are good but to me, the most important factor is the noodle, which the dry version tasted much better.
