Whenever coming to Bedok at night, people usually would go for the popular bak chor mee around this neighbourhood.

Seng Hiang is one of the stall selling their signature soup bak chor mee.

Only one type of noodle they have and each bowl for small portion comes with 5 pieces of meatballs.

Tasty soup with the minced meats and chilli. Definitely a warm and comforting bowl at night.

I was very pleased to have finally eaten my favourite BCM after a long time! Somehow having it late at night seems more comforting than having it during the day. Garlicky and cloudy with bits of minced pork, the soup is very tasty and one spoonful makes you go back for another. As usual, the meatballs are the star of the show and it’s a generous serving for $4!

Couldn't decide which BCM to eat, decided to have seng hiang today.

Soup is garlicky. Taste alot nicer with chilli padi.

So many meatball, really very generous for $4 portion.

Really good bowl of BCM, easily the top 2 soupy BCM I ever eaten. The other top 2 is the next door stall.

2 of the best soupy BCM I ever tasted. And both side by side.

Fans of the soup version of bak chor mee should be no stranger to this popular stall at Bedok 85 Food Centre. This stall and the stall next to them are probably the 2 most famous soupy bak chor mee stalls in Singapore, and featured here is the one from Seng Hiang. Honestly this is just a very simple bowl of noodles, but elevated by the comforting broth and nice tasty meatballs! I’m still team dry when it comes to bak chor mee, but whenever I have cravings for the soup version, this stall is one of my go-tos.

This stall only offers 3 types of noodles: mee kia, kway teow and mee tai mak. The alkaline taste of the mee kia is a little strong and the noodles are a little soft for me, but the sauce is not bad - will probably opt for mee tai mak if I order the dry version ($4 for large) next time. The soup version ($5 for large), which comes with soft minced meat and tasty meat balls, is flavourful and comforting.
