Was recommended to try the fried hokkien prawn mee here by a few foodie friends, and it sure did not disappoint. I love my hokkien mee wet, and this stall serves them slurpy wet with a good flavourful stock. Special mention to the belachan chilli too; solidly pungent and packs a punch. Mix everything up and you get a winning combination!

Made with an excellent stock, fresh prawns, pork and sotong slices this Hokkien Mee can easily be as outstanding as any I've tasted. However when eaten with the homemade belachan chilli sauce it became way above the others. Belly yummy yummy yum yum yum! Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 July 14

Very moist and tasty. The stock used is superior and the plus is the belachan chilli. It's flavourful of belachan and spicy too. Add a bit to the Mee and the taste is different from the original.

This wasn't on my wishlist, but there's usually a queue. It turned out it shouldn't be on my wishlist. It's one of the blandest Hokkien mees I've encountered.

Besides the long queues for the nasi lemak and lor mee, the pan-fried carrot cake shaped in a square form or the fast-selling carrot cake sticks, there is actually a stall that sells a damn solid plate of fried hokkien prawn noodles. Priced from $4 to $6, an elderly couple helms behind the wok and the hokkien noodles from this stall is the wetter version but still has that smoky wok hei aroma. What’s truly amazing about this plate is the generous bits of pork lard that is hidden within each spoonful that goes so well with the noodle and the x-factor is when you mix in the sambal belacan which transforms and elevates this dish to the next level.
