Known for their late closing hours, Power Nasi Lemak never failed to appear on list of result when I search for late night food in Singapore.

Delivery: Islandwide Delivery(min. $30)
β€”
Chicken Wing $2
Egg $0.50
Sambal Sotong $3.50

Journey to the west for this stall in Boon Lay. The rice here is good enough to have alone with their sweet and spicy sambal β€” served warm, with the perfect amount of moisture. However, the Nasi Lemak Chicken Set ($3.50) elevates the basics with a chunky, juicy chicken wing fried to a delightful golden-brown, a fried egg with an oozy yolk and anchovies. If you're feeling peckish, add a begedil ($0.50) or otah ($1.50).

can't help but to think that the best part of this dish is the rice (rly fresh & fragrant!) and the ikan bilis / peanuts combi! chili could have been less sweet and a lot more spicy :$

Despite the legions of reviews saying that this is overrated, I still find it a very decent plate of nasi lemak. You can often find queues in front of the stalls when you pass by.

I guess it's hard to match up the standard it once was years ago

Gone are the days where Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak serves quality food even when the long snaking queue never stops. It’s been some time since I last had it and a sudden craving popped up, but I was disappointed to find that the portion seemed to have shrunk. I miss the otak-otak that always gets sold out early. Thankfully the rice is still as milky fragrant from the coconut milk used, and the Sambal chili is still a good mix of sweet-spiciness because those 2 really form the soul of the dish. I could just have the chili and the rice! But still, please return me my chunky juicy chicken wing with a super thick, golden-brown crispy batter like before.

🐡 The chilli is unforgivingly potent! And the Ayam Goreng is very well-marinated with Malay spices and crispy, quite unlike the other types found in other Nasi lemak stalls. The coconut rice itself was lemak and fragrant. $6
