In-House Almond Cream & Rum on Pain Au Chocolat.

This doesn't look pretty but it's nice and sweet, though we couldn't really taste the rum. I We refer the normal pain au chocolate instead.

This is a must order for me everytime I want a savoury breakfast fix here. The herb Ciabatta bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, I could probably eat it on its own. The lemon chicken mayo is slightly tangy and opens up the palate! It's like tuna mayo but without the fishiness. Paired with cheddar cheese and lettuce, the sandwich is perfect.

Every sandwich is also served with tortilla chips (probably onion flavoured) and ranch.

Had to try their artisanal sandwich since their bread display was so enticing, and settled on their Lemon Chicken Sandwich. The herbaceous ciabatta was undeniably fluffy and paired well with the creamy chicken that came with a hint of zesty lemon. However the tortilla chips was a weird pairing- it tasted like the louhei fried crackers.. I think a salad would have complemented the freshness of the sandwich better. Their latte was good and strong though!

Although the almond croissant was quite big, we were a little disappointed as it was rather bland today. Hopefully, it will be more buttery the next time we visit Bread & Hearth. Nonetheless, we would like to highlight that the almond croissant is really good at times and hopefully the quality could be more consistent. 😅

Bread & Hearth serves a pretty awesome Peach Danish, which comes with a crusty exterior, a pretty generous layer of cheese, and a big piece of peach right in the middle. It might be a little sweet for breakfast, but its a pretty unique dish that most breakfast cafes do not sell. 😁

Adding on to the wide array of @breadandhearth's bakes this month is the Mentaiko Prawn Focaccia. I liked how there was a generous portion of Mentaiko and how they used fresh crunchy prawns for this. There weren't many prawns in this but it's good for its price point. We had other items like their quiche and buttehorn as well and they were pretty good too 😋
