BreadTalk may face its fair share of criticism but one thing that cannot be disputed is their incredible creativity when it comes to new products. The Mala Pot is their biggest solo bread to date, made to replicate a mala hotpot with a whole slew of ingredients, including lotus root, mala chicken filling, broccoli, surumi crab leg, cheese, enoki mushrooms, beancurd and more. Of course, it also dons a hefty price tag to justify its size and amount of toppings.

This bread alone could probably serve as a whole meal. Its savoury and slightly spicy with all the elements coming together to create a unique experience of textures and flavours, and I honestly think this is BreadTalk’s most impressive creation to date.

I did find the mala chicken filling a little rubbery but it wasnt a big deal as the other savoury ingredients came together to elevate the rest of the bread.

Its pretty pricey but worth the try given the sheer creativity of it. Huge props to the R&D team for bringing this to fruition!

🙊 Going at $1 each or a box of 6 and 10. Decent but I think having 3 alone is enough is make you jerlat.

They are introducing six buns for Chinese New Year this year. Loving the Mandarin Luck and Happy Goat Lucky buns! The buns are available till 5 March 2015. Thanks to my lovely niece for modeling!
