Was at CT Hub and decided to grab some croissants from @brotherbird_bakehouse ! No queue!

Got the Taro Croissant and Honey Sea Salt Croissant!

Buttery and flaky! โœจ

I'm so lucky that I managed to go their drive in outlet at CT Hub last month before they undergo renovation this month ownards. So I ordered their matcha crossiant ($5.50) like finally. But I didn't managed to reheat it as I wanted to try it asap. Matcha taste quite creamy and milky but slightly oily tbh and got a lot of strain. Their mochi inside the crossiant really chewy and not that hard as I thought.

Savoury croissant packed with mentaiko prawn filling and mozzarella cheese finished off with ito garashi (Japanese dry red chilli pepper shred). They were generous with the crunchy prawns filled in each croissant. The filling goes really well with the crispy layered croissant. Every bite is an umami bomb ใ€‹$6

Was crisp after toasting in the oven, but not dry and was soft & buttery inside. The lamination is pretty nice! Maple syrup fragrance is rather strong, sweet but itโ€™s only a glaze so itโ€™s not tooo sweet. Thereโ€™s crushed pecans sprinkled on top, which added a nice nuttiness to the croissant.

Take a hugee bite of that croissant and youโ€™ll be hit by a sweet, savoury, and creamy mix of prawns in that rich mentaiko sauce! These umami flavours were also anchored by that buttery and flaky croissant which never disappoints ๐Ÿ™ˆ

We were also really excited about their ๐™ง๐™–๐™จ๐™ฅ๐™—๐™š๐™ง๐™ง๐™ฎ & ๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™˜๐™๐™ž๐™ค ๐™™๐™–๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™จ๐™ - just look at that enticing pool of raspberry compote!! And were pleasantly surprised to find pistachio frangipane nestled just under the compote! The compote was tarte and balanced out the mild sweetness and nuttiness of the pistachio, and we absolutely loved this rendition ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿซถ
