If you’re craving for a heavy, calorie-dense pork knuckle, head to Brotzeit to satiate those cravings.

The skin was crispy and thick, and the meat was succulent and juicy. When it’s cut through, gelatinous layers of fat were unveiled. Very very sinful and indulgent!

2 of us struggled to finish it, so we packed it to go.
Would recommend bringing down a party to finish this so you could try more dishes too!

pretty pricey... $40+ish and you wouldn't need any other side dish to go along with it (if it's fr 2pax)πŸ™ƒ

Decided to balance the table which was full of pork knuckle and sausages with a vegetarian friendly pizza - spinach fladen. The fladen tasted rather healthy with no extra drips of oil, crust was on the thin and hard side. It was abit cold when served so the cheese was hardened.

Definitely not a 'pizza-would-never-go-wrong' dish.

The sausage platter was served with at least 6 different types of german sausages, all tasted uniquely different. But still, not good enough to be fighting with their crispy oven roasted pork knuckle which we ate on 2 consecutive Saturdays. Tip: you are able to change the default side to any of your choice, recommend to go for their seasoned wedges, super duper good!!

It was served in individual sliced-ribs, criss-crossing into a tower. Each rib was on average 20-25cm long (huge!!) and comes with substantial of soft bones at the tip, which i would love to chew on if not for my braces. The marinate was not the tony roma or morganfield types, we weren't really a fan. It was a mixture a mild sweet, sour and spicy, nothing really shouts out. On the other hand, the complementary spiced wedges were really great!

Just recently, we tried the classic pork knuckle from starker, so a good benchmark to have. The knuckle here was served un-cut, having a much better presentation for sure. The skin was roasted to the best crispiness with thick layer of far hidden beneath.. your choice to eat it or remove it. I did the later πŸ˜… but the inner meat was really lean, tender, and well marinated with black pepper! This portion at $39 can easily serve 2.
