From the Burpple community

w burpple beyond, we spent a total of $87 for a pork schnitzel ($32++) that came with a choice of a side, pork knuckle ($42++) that came with sides, bradwurst ($22++), mac & cheese ($21++) that came with sides. recommend to make a reservation in advance because the place was PACKED even on a weekday night. pork knuckle was good as expected, crispy skin that had the fragrance of deep fried pork lard. we found the meat had a littttle porky smell but it was still tasty. there was q a thick layer of fat under the pork skin but it came off easily. the schnitzel was essentially a fanciful pork chop but it was still tender and enjoyable nonetheless. the bradwurst was abit disappointing with the meat texture being a little bit powdery (???) and not so QQ. the mac&cheese was quite good, but the smell of cheese is pretty strong. great for groups, big portions, they allowed us to take the items to go. great service by alan!

The one for one made the meal very worth it. However, restaurant seemed to be understaff. Have to wait long to just get cutlery. Food wise, it tasted a bit bland and the meat was not as juicy and tender as what I was expecting. Will return if there is one for one.

Ordered Bauernwurst Farmer’s Sausage and Fladen Mit Schweinshaxn (Pork Knuckle “pizza”). Potatoes are well seasoned, cabbage made the pork knuckle feels less greasy and “jelak”.
Overall, food is good. However, it took half an hour for the food to arrive during an off peak period (around 3pm). We were the only one who ordered food too.

Using the Burpple 1-for-1 deal, I tried the Bauernwurst Farmer’s Sausage ($22) and Thüringer Rostbratwurst (Pork Sausage) ($19) and both were nice. The roasted potatoes tasted really good and the mash potato was very creamy & buttery.

The asian in me could not help but crave from some white rice to go with the sausage. But nonetheless, it was very filling. Pair it with some beer and it will be, chef’s kiss.

Prices in brackets above are normal price before 1-for-1.

Scrumptious platter with a variety of sausage types and flavours for tasting. Generous serving of sauerkraut, pickles and other sides which go great with the sausages. Definitely very filling 😌

Great setting and ambience with good service!

While the food was fresh, the pasta tasted rather bland. It is a cream-based pasta with a fairly large piece of fish. Still worth giving it a try but it may not be your first choice.
