Hole-in-the-hut neighbourhood ice cream cafe (with some light mains). Love it that the menu is extremely price-friendly - with gelatos going at just $6.50 for double scoops of classic flavours, +$0.50 for cone. I tried the strawberry 🍓 + hazelnut flavours. Be assured that quality ingredients goes into the making of each tub, with strawberry seeds and bits within the ice cream ball. Hazelnut was really really fragrant too! The waffle cone was crispy, with hints of buttery fragrance too

We tried every flavour they tasted so overly sweet! They were all made of brown sugar and etc so that explained why. We came to end up choosing black sesame & Nutella because they were okay and not as sweet as other flavours.

Brownie: it went good with the ice cream!

Result: Maybe I’ll come again, or maybe I’ll not... I am not a big fan of tastes that’s overly sweet/sugary!

Made with brown rice! Still taste pretty flavorful and not too sweet. but it’s less creamy and smooth compared to the usual icecream. Featured flavours are: dark chocolate, earl grey and coconut. We did not regret our choices!

$8 for a healthy dessert: vegan black sesame ice cream with waffles! something different and worth trying.

Matcha scoop and Nutella scoop
2 scoops for $6.50
A little expensive but it is vegan and good!! Healthy too !!

Flavours came through pretty decently, although I wished the matcha flavour could be stronger since I'm a huge match fan. But the Nutella, recommended to me by the person @ the counter, was delicious. Made me crave for more 😋😛

Don't be too quick to dismiss this place just because it serves the non-conventional vegan ice cream.

While the lack of usual ice cream ingredients might cause this version to taste less indulgent, it certainly didn't lack in flavour. It was light, smooth and refreshing. A great icy cold dessert to have on a blazing hot day, or a nice palate cleanser after a greasy meal.

I especially like their fruity flavours, which tasted like the frozen versions of the real fruits. The passionfruit came with seeds and the coconut (the unanimous favourite) came with real coconut flesh! The latter did not quite taste as heavy as BKK's famed one, but was still just as refreshing.

It's a win for me this place dared to stand out with its unique concept, and a double win that they pulled it off well.
