As we were about to fly out I found a patisserie called Cilantro selling huge blocks of what I found out was a Bornean treat originating from Kuching called āBatik Kekā, or Batik Cake. I bought the rainbow vanilla kek and the āoriginal and bestā according to the waitress, the luminous green Milo (Horlicks) flavour. The texture is cool and moist like play doh and is bit like a fudgy rocky road with crunchy biscuit pieces. The flavour gets insipid after a few mouthfuls, it is reminiscent of cookie dough and gets very sickly, very quickly. There were no other food options air side and being hungry I ate a whole block and felt queasy the entire flight. With hindsight I donāt think youāre meant to eat that much all in one go š¤ The Milo block I havenāt started will probably live in the fridge for a while... #singaporefoodie #sgfoodies #sgfood #sgfoodblogger #foodie #foodblogger #foodporn #foodlover #weirdfood #colourfulfood #localdelight #localdessert #dessert #travel #travelfood #travelfoodie #fooddiary #instafood #instafoodie #brunei #bandarseribegawan #batikkek #batikcake #eeeeats #burpple #sweettooth #sweettreats
