Another popular stall at Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre — The white beehoon [a.k.a. rice vermicelli] dish is served in a flavourful and tasty, soupier broth that comes with a nice variety of ingredients including crayfish, clams, Chinese cabbage and bits of fried egg. 🫶🏻

We made our way to our much beloved Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre, in view that it is set to demolish in the second half of 2024. Thanks for the wonderful memories for the past 30 years! 🫶🏻

We ordered some satay from this popular stall ‘cause my mum is enamoured with its peanut sauce that comes with a huge dollop of pineapple 🍍 puree. The skewered meat has a nicely charred piece of fat in the middle and extra chew on the meat.

Having some of my favourite such as He Zhong Carrot Cake ($4), Zhou Pin 粥品 ceuntry egg pork porridge ($3.50) & Amoy Chendol ($2) before they might be gone. Do try before the food centre closed for renovation

Came here with my friend to have all these childhood food likesliced fish porridge ($4), carrot cake ($3), ngoh hiang ($10.50) & Chendol ($2).

All are really delicious and food I ate when I was still a teenager.

The item that got our attention - KA for $2.80? In a hawker centre?

It was the bready type, was fluffy inside. Was rather buttery and sweet, as expected of a KA. I liked the crisp outer, hard sugar shell at the bottom, which was quite thin so it doesn’t stick to your teeth. Quite nice treat, and definitely worth the $2.80. Eat immediately when you get it! It's warm and nicest when freshly baked.

first time trying the oyster omelette here and it’s SO GOOD??? wokhey x1000 and the oysters were damn big and plump and fresh
