I ain't sharing! And dont judge. A lobster alone never filled anyone, together with a nice juicy medium-done burger, the hanger has subsided, and there was peace in the land again. Is it worth queuing for 1 hr (we didnt)? Probably not, but there r very very little things worth that kindda wait time in its defence. Is it worth the eating? Yes. Does it bring you joy? The Kondo in me would say yes and eat it.

Exclusive to Singapore's Jewel outlet, this whole (~1.5 pounds) Canadian lobster was drenched in sweet-savoury sambal gravy. It worked, drawing parallel between this and our famous chilli crab which is also a crustacean in sweet-spicy gravy. And this also came with grilled brioche (instead of fried mantou) to mop up the sambal gravy.

Grilled Nebraskan burger patty with homemade pickles, onion, tomato, signature burger sauce, crunchy iceberg lettuce on a brioche burger bun, served with fries and house salad

A good way to sample a little of everything that Burger & Lobster have to offer (especially their namesake), the Original Combo which features two Burgers, a Lobster, chips, house salad and dessert at $110 can be topped up to have a burger replaced to their signature Lobster Roll for $15. Plump and juicy, the chunks of chilled lobster stuffed within the fluffy toasted brioche was an easy favourite. Tossed in slightly tart Japanese mayonnaise and sprinkled on with tiny bits of chives, the meat was still able to retain its wonderful flavours and the natural sweetness.

Next up, having our lobster done 2 ways, both steamed and grilled, the Original Lobster was one for the fans of the crustacean. To enjoy the fresh tasting goodness, the steamed version is the way to go in my opinion as the firm flesh didn’t require any other condiments. As for the latter, the char from the grilling does add a heady smokiness that may appeal to those who seeks an extra omph. The rich and thick golden butter sauce served alongside can also be used to amp up the dish.

For the combo, we opted to top up for lobster roll and it was a great choice - toasted brioche that was buttery, slightly crisp and fluffy; and pretty generous with the lobster filling and I liked that it wasn’t overdone with mayo.

Had the best of both worlds with half steamed/ grilled whole lobster (portion was rather small) To taste the true freshness and sweetness, go for the steamed on but I personally liked the grilled half! Its smoky flavour and sweetness locked in fresh, succulent lobster flesh. The accompanying lemon garlic butter sauce was incredibly fragrant with a little tanginess to cut through the richness.

Was rather surprised by The Mayfair ($25 ala carte). Thick, juicy, perfectly grilled Nebraskan beef patty, with melted cheese, tangy housemade pickles, onions, tomatoes, crunchy lettuce and signature burger sauce between toasted brioche buns. Pretty good for its price.
