From the Burpple community

this was at their new outlet at the sail! pretty good very rich and nutty pistachio but super sweet. takes away the pistachio taste and robs it of the limelight

Interesting choice of ice cream flavours (pictured: Kaya Chendol 3/5) but the waffle was a bit underwhelming. It’s quite toasty and not fluffy like I prefer. Burnt Cones is located in Sunset Way, the cafe is cosy and nice.

I felt the ube was too vibrant for the colouring to be natural…and it did taste more sweet than creamy. But bacio was nice and leant more towards the hazelnut flavour than chocolate. Service was really nice though so I would come back again for their coffee / tea.

i got the sesame and really liked it! strong sesame flavour and not too sweet. bacio (hazelnut and chocolate) was sweeter and not my preferred flavour, but a good accompaniment!

Got the Madagascar vanilla and Scamorza (burnt cheese) flavour. Scarmoza flavour was very interesting, milky at the start and the after taste tasted like smoked pizza. Madagascar vanilla is a go to flavour and the flavour was rich and sweet. Used Burpple 1f1 and got 2 scoops premium flavour for $5.

I tried the cheese and hazelnut gelato. I love how unique the cheese is!! The person mentioned that it is made of laughing cow cheese. It has a sweet and salty taste which is not overpowering and not jelak. On the other hand, the hazelnut gelato was delicious! It has bits of hazelnut inside. However, I felt it was alittle too sweet for my liking. Sadly, we weren’t able to choose their all time favourite - pistachio and 85% choco (even though I heard that these 2 are amazing!!)

My partner and I added a cone (burnt cone with hazelnut and slightly burnt cone with cheese) for $1 each and it was the best decision made! The cones were amazing with the gelato! The total price was $7. I’ll definitely be back to try it again.

Ratings for food: 4.5/5
Ratings for price: 5/5 (it cost $3.50 for gelato ice cream with cone)
