Plumped up with toothsome pandan coconut cream, Burnt Ends Bakery’s Pandan Doughnuts ($24 /Half-Dozen) were fragrant and flavourful. And to say they are rich may be an understatement as the smooth luscious filling was pretty intense - the taste of coconut and pandan coming across very prominently in the bake. The dough, on the other hand, was supple and fluffy which was a nice balance to the heavy kaya. Glazed with coconut and embellished with desiccated coconut, these brioche doughnuts were a treat.

Found these Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies a tad too sweet so I’d skip them in future orders.

These Gruyère Cheese & Scallion Scones were so very impressive! They had crusty tops while retaining an amazing fluffy centre, with a lingering savoury aroma when warmed up. 10/10 would get these again!

You can also add on your order with Vanilla Chantilly Cream ($2 for 2oz), Plum Jam ($3 for 2oz) and Butter ($1.50 for 2oz).

Was so worth the wait - finally had the chance to try these highly raved bakes from Burnt Ends! Donuts were super pillow soft and very generously stuffed. Just look at the amount of filling in one piece! We had the mixed box of Nutella, Vanilla Cream and Passionfruit. Favourite was the tangy Passionfruit, while Nutella’s for you if you are looking for something very rich. Vanilla Cream was one that’s more mild and less sweet.

Oh man, savoury scones are everything and especially the recent ones that I got from Burnt Ends Bakery were exceptional! Loving the balanced taste of the scallion which permeates in every bite, I found their Gruyère Cheese & Scallion Scones ($18/ half dozen) to be the perfect breakfast scones. Made with Gruyère cheese, scallion, sour cream, buttermilk, eggs, and butter, the aromatic scones were thankfully not too rich or greasy. A savoury twist on the classic scone, the cheesy number featured a slightly flaky exterior while the interior wasn’t dense or dry. They were also great at room temperature and better when warmed.

There was a slight pungent after taste. But other than that, coconut is fragrant, donut was fluffy and tasty!
