This more than just Blackmore striploin crowned with creamy bafun uni. Hidden within is shiso leaf, which in my opinion is the most clever ingredient in this dish that gave a herbaceous dimension to this indulgent dish of beef fats and rich uni cream.
And Jessica cracked the code - she paired this with the cocktail "The Fringe". I'll have to do this again, thanks to Jill for arranging this meal and Leona for the treat 😋

One star Michelin restaurant has lived up to its expectations. With each of their staff taking pride in what they are serving and chefs dedicating their passion to perfecting each dishes. The Steak Frites had a nice golden crisp to it contrasting with the fresh beef tartare atop it. While their Blackmore’s Cube Roll beef was well marbled and well seasoned on the exterior while retaining the original flavors of the beef on the interior. On a surprising note, their Burnt Ends Sanger was praise worthy too for the chunky pulled pork and well blended flavors of the coleslaw that was refreshing with a piquant note to it.

This restaurant ranked Number 10 on Asia's Best 50 surely didn't disappoint. $35 of this off-menu item gets you an osgamic mouthful of raw steak tartare, crispy fried potatoes, and sufficient caviar.
But being one of Singapore's best restaurants also mean that there are many other items on this menu that were really good, and it's difficult to go wrong regardless of what you order. So unless you've already tried everything else on the menu, or if you really have lots of stomach space, go for other dishes that are much cheaper than this as they're equally good as well.

Five and a half years ago I chanced upon Burnt Ends while passing by that area for lunch, walked in without reservation, and I loved it. But shortly after, they've became so popular that it was difficult to get a seat there. So thankful I get to visit last week, thanks to @jillyeats who got me a reservation.
Food is still very good, but prices had gone up substantially. They used to sell these quail eggs without caviar in a set of 5, for only $6. So each egg was only $1.20.
But the food there is still very good. The smoke scent of this egg, together with the creamy, dense texture of the eggs interior. Such a memorable meal.

Burnt Ends has been on a radar for a some time, before their Michelin and Asia’s 50 Best; this treat has been long coming and the expectations I had were met. Read more on the blog - #linkinprofile

Finally got to try this place after a Long wait of 3 months. Tried a number of highly recommended dishes by many reviewers, including leek, beef marmalade, pulled pork sanger, hanger steak etc. Good and unique flavours, but frankly speaking most dishes were quite heavy, including this onglet steak, especially when it comes all the other goodies. How much I wish the salad is just dressed with simple light vinaigrette. Nothing particularly great compared to steaks elsewhere, so I guess if you have a regular stomach capacity, go sample more appetisers rattler than commuting yourself to this!
