With his Asian girlfriend. Ang Moh loves fusion and bar.. and Butcher Boy is both. Putting aside the scenery and the beef/lamb/pork, I actually enjoyed the small plates of baby squid in salted egg yolk, chill crab bun, and the fried chicken bao in a decent umami Yuzu kosho mayo.

The aforementioned fried chicken bao! Very juicy and with a slight refreshing citrus taste.

I did enjoy this lunch set, which consisted of mantous with crabmeat, fried chicken pao with fries and coffee/tea. However I felt that with the price point ($35) the lunch set isn’t very worth it, and the fried chicken & fries gave off a fast-food feel that didn’t really feel befitting of butcher boy’s food (I’ve heard rave reviews). Will be back for dinner, but probably won’t come back for this lunch set!

For when you’re feeling snazzy for lunch, Butcher Boy’s set features chunky chilli crab with warm fried mantao-like doughnut holes, fried chicken bao with yuzu kosho mayo and skinny togarashi fries. Also comes with two drinks and a soft serve to share.

Smokiness, flavour and texture were all on point 😋

A Vanilla and Licorice base topped with a healthy spurt of whipped cream, more strawberries and strawberry granita 🍓🍓

I generally avoid licorice for it's herbal medicinal flavor but it was a perfect complement to the vanilla and strawberries. Ingenious.
