Restaurant week special menu @$116 for two pax.

For starters there were fried bun with chilli crab sauce. The buns were very chewy, not the texture that I prefer. Chilli crab sauce was average as well. The next item which is the fried chicken bao fared better. Bao was soft and formed a nice contrast with the fried chicken.

Main dish is the pastrami beef short rib that was super tender. Accompanying sides were fries and Brussel sprouts. Dessert ended with a giant smore for sharing.

Portion is big and definitely filled the both of us up. Not sure I will be back as there isn’t any wow factor.

Lunch at @butcherboysg ‘cos CURE was full and I’m hungry

BUTCHER BOY BACON & CHEESEBURGER (S$24++)
with
EDAMAME HUMMUS, HEIRLOOM TOMATOES, BURRATA (V)

Was recommended medium rare. Tasted quite juicy. Place quite dark. Can’t really see what’s I’m having although eating burger always messy.

Laksa dumping ($20) // Australian Angus Rib Eye 400g ($88)

If you expect a full prawn in the laksa dumpling, you’ll be disappointed. Skip this.

Ordered the rib eye (medium rare) w two sides of sauces - peppercorn and yuzu bearnaise. The rib eye was a mess - it came rather bloody and overall, taste just wasn’t good.

Just skip this whole place altogether. 🌚

Chilli Crab, Mantou Buns ($22)

The amount of crab was quite substantial, though I would still say it’s a lil pricey. The original mantous still taste better but yeah, here’s some fusion buns for an alternative taste.

With his Asian girlfriend. Ang Moh loves fusion and bar.. and Butcher Boy is both. Putting aside the scenery and the beef/lamb/pork, I actually enjoyed the small plates of baby squid in salted egg yolk, chill crab bun, and the fried chicken bao in a decent umami Yuzu kosho mayo.

The aforementioned fried chicken bao! Very juicy and with a slight refreshing citrus taste.
