3.75⭐ Purchased the 1 for 1 mains during Chope Cafe Day. Laksa Linguine is akin to dry laksa, spicy level is bearable for me and quite generous with the ingredients. The teriyaki chicken burger reminds of MOS teriyaki chicken burger but a more generous portion.

Comes with 4 Marinated Barramundi, 4 Lemongrass Skewer, 3 Tiger prawn, 4 Alaska Scallop.
All sizes served come with Chimichurri Sauce and Garden Greens

Laksa with a twist
.
Linguine served with laksa sauce, fish cake, fresh peeled shrimp and topped with hard boiled egg
.
Other than the hard boiled egg, the rest were mediocre at best. The BH’s laksa wasn’t very spicy due to the watery diluted laksa sauce. And the prawns were cold and also not very fresh
.
Honestly, I had high hopes for this. But I was really disappointed by how this particular laksa dish tasted
*I had tasted better ones at a cheaper/same price amount
.

Cafe Bakeaholic serves both sweet and savoury items. However, most of the sweet items were out of stock when we arrive in the afternoon which was a huge bummer. Pastries that were displayed doesn’t look appealing at all. Hence, we ordered the Maple Chicken Croffle ($15) and Potato Wedges ($5.50). Chicken was marinated well and tender. Potato wedges took ridiculously long to arrive - about 20mins. Nothing too special about the wedges.

Given that the drinks were on the pricier side, I expected it to be better. We ordered Long Black ($6) and a Cappuccino ($7) but it tasted really average. Have had even better coffees at other cafes for cheaper price.

To be honest, in my opinion, if the food continues to be mediocre and expensive for such a small portion, I don’t think the business will survive in the long run. Currently, it’s just riding on the fame of the celebrity.

Would I patronise again? Maybe not. I don’t think it’s worth the trouble to travel down to the cafe if you live pretty far away unless you are near the area.
