Totally underrated spot for coffee. The variety of beans from multiple roasters (a damn good seasonal line-up with the likes of Nylon, Cream, Seraph Awaken and Artisan) aside, this frothy mug is what to come for. The coffee beer is made with a black brew, honey and lots of foam. Flavour’s mildly bitter, but mostly sweet and smooth. Sort of a heady happy hour substitute if you like your beer a little sweet and non-alcoholic.

1) Yinyong Katsu Don (RM13)- chicken Katsu with fluffy egg. Thumbs up!

2) Maguro mentaiko (RM13)- reasonable price looking at the portion given, something safe to order, just that the mentaiko is a bit too salty.

Drinks are definitely the cafe’s forte. Not your typical lemonade, this version comes mixed with lime and honey. It’s sweet, sour and will be a great thirst quencher for hot days.
Rice bowls are popular here and this comes highly recommended by the staff. As much as I enjoyed the chicken, the rice was overcooked and ended up being mushy. One thing the kitchen has definitely nailed are the runny eggs.
The perfect bite-size dumplings and at an affordable price too! Stuffed with chicken, onions and spring onions, the dumplings are perfectly seasoned and taste even better with the vinegar. The best part for me are the crispy edges – there’s a crunch with every bite!
If you’re looking for simple and homey meals after a long day at work, this is the place to get them. The portions are relatively small, but that’s okay as there are yummy snacks to try too. I found the broth a little too salty but the runny egg helps to mask the flavours. The best part of the dish is the tender slices of duck – three are really not enough.
